Salina: A Hiker's Paradise
Salina, a picturesque gem in the Aeolian Islands, offers some of the most breathtaking hiking trails in the Mediterranean. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a casual walker, these trails promise adventure and stunning views. Here are the top 5 hikes you shouldn't miss!
When to Visit?
April, May, late September, October, and November are ideal months for hiking in Salina. While some trails, like Monte Fossa delle Felci, offer shade from high trees, the central summer months can be hot and require early morning walks with plenty of water.
Equipment
Most hikes are suitable for sneakers, although long pants can be a good idea due to the vegetation. We always suggest informing the reception about your plans, so we can update you with any important last-minute information and check on you. It's safe, but a double check can't hurt, and if you get too tired, we can send a taxi your way.
